Plus, the Guisi Lighthouse is just a stone throw’s away from the resort, perfect if you want to shoot in during sunrise and sunsets. The islands around Guisi are breath-taking. There are secluded white sand beaches, crystal clear water with lots of fish and starfish. This is a great adventure place.

“Not all who wander are lost”

For me, traveling is fun and it's very interesting. Our Educational City Tour is a Fun Filled experienced. It is an opportunity for students to have a jolly time together. The educational tour is useful for transforming learning experience beyond the traditional classroom. I gained a lot of knowledge about Iloilo's history and cultures.

Let's start with my favorite place......

Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art

The Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art is an art museum in Iloilo City, Philippines. It is the first museum in the Visayas and Mindanao dedicated to modern and contemporary art and the first museum in the Visayas exclusively dedicated to Ilonggo visual artists. It houses the largest collections of art in the Visayas. The museum is likewise the first Megaworld built museum in the Philippines.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to my birth city's first contemporary art museum. Three floors of amazing collections of work from Ilonggo, Filipino and international artists.

Museum of Philippine Economic History

The first museum in the Philippines about economic history is established in a hundred-year-old structure that once belonged to the family who owns one of the Philippines’ oldest companies. Named the Museum of Philippine Economic History, it features historical data on how trade and commerce developed in the country, as well as artifacts of companies that thrived within the “Queen City of the South” in its prime. It was eventually turned into a provincial office by the Commission on Audit and then restored to its Spanish-inspired architectural design by the National Historical Commission.

Molo Mansion

The historical landmark in Iloilo City. The Molo Mansion is one of Iloilo City's finest old homes. It currently serves at the backdrop of art exhibits, markets, fairs, special occasions, and photo shoots. This old mansion is a beautiful old building.

You can just walk in and have a look with no entrance fee. There's no tours or any historical orientations when you get inside. Instead all that you can see are items that you can find in Kultura (Filipino clothing store). Then there's the pasalubong (souvenir) shop inside for the visiting local and foreign tourists. The second floor houses paintings of local artists that are for sale. I enjoyed my visit here.

  Casa Mariquit

One of the oldest heritage houses in Santa Isabel St., Jaro, Iloilo City, Casa Mariquit was built in 1803 by a banker, Ramon Javellana.  This is where you can find the old El Filibusterismo book by Dr. Jose Rizal.

You can already tour the house and take photos with the old arts and crafts with your Php 50.00. The Casa Mariquit is impressive because of its collection. A must visit for tourists and visitors of the City of Love, Iloilo. Jaro’s Casa Mariquit, a bahay na bato as graceful as its namesake.
